Cayman Islands ready to welcome back Air Canada & WestJet – Travelweek

GRAND CAYMAN — The Cayman Islands is in for a busy winter season, with both Air Canada and WestJet resuming nonstop, four-hour service from Toronto.

Air Canada Rouge will kick off nonstop service on Dec. 4, while WestJet will return to the island on Dec. 16. Convenient connections are available across Canada.

The Cayman Islands began welcoming fully vaccinated international leisure guests without quarantine on Nov. 20, 2021. The destination had closed its borders in March 2020 to international air and sea arrivals, and has since worked closely with health authorities to implement a multi-phase plan to safely reopen the islands. It’s currently in Phase 4 of its five-part reopening plan.

At all phases, all inbound travellers are required to make a declaration of travel and vaccination status on the Travel Cayman Portal, and present the declaration certificate and vaccination documents along with proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test upon arrival.
