AmaWaterways to launch second ship in Egypt – Travelweek

TORONTO — AmaWaterways will soon have double the presence in Egypt with the launch of its second ship in the country.

Following the successful close of AmaDahlia’s first season on Egypt’s legendary Nile River last week, the river cruise line announced that a second ship, AmaLilia – named after the sacred blue water lily flower of ancient Egypt – will set sail in 2024 to meet growing demand for the region.

Like AmaDahlia, AmaLilia will sail the ‘Secrets of Egypt & Nile’ itinerary, offering an 11-night cruise and land experience that includes a seven-night roundtrip river cruise from Luxor, paired with three nights pre- and one-night post-cruise stays in Cairo. Similar to its sister ship, AmaLilia will be designed with regionally-inspired décor and offer spacious staterooms and suites and a specialty restaurant all included in the river cruise fare.

We look forward to welcoming even more travellers to join us to experience the ancient wonders of Egypt.”
