Porter issues weather-related advisories for more than a dozen Canada & U.S. gateways – Travelweek

TORONTO — Porter Airlines has issued weather-related travel advisories for more than a dozen gateways for today, Dec. 23, plus several for tomorrow, Dec. 24, as well.

In Canada, the airports include Toronto-Billy Bishop (YTZ), Fredericton (YFC), Halifax (YHZ), Moncton (YQM), Montreal (YUL), Ottawa (YOW), Quebec City (YQB), Sault Ste. Marie (YAM), St. John’s (YYT), Thunder Bay (YQT) and Timmins (YTS).

In the U.S., the airports include Boston (BOS), Chicago-Midway (MDW), New York-Newark, NJ (EWR) and Washington-Dulles, VA (IAD).

For all impacted gateways Porter is asking passengers to monitor their flight status.

“Go to My Bookings to learn if your flight is eligible for complimentary changes. A waiver may be issued for select flights, allowing passengers to change their bookings to fly earlier or later than scheduled, avoiding potential travel disruptions. Ensure the contact information provided on your reservation is accurate, so we may notify you of last-minute changes to your flight status by email or text message. If your flight is cancelled or delayed by 15 minutes or more, a flight notification will be sent to you. Passengers on eligible flights will be able to change or cancel their bookings online without penalty, space permitting.”
