Canada Jetlines, Qatar Airways in talks for collaboration – Travelweek

TORONTO — Canada Jetlines is in discussions with Qatar Airways to explore a potential collaboration between the two airlines.

The deal could include nonstop flights between Toronto Pearson and Doha, where Qatar Airways is based. However it’s early days and any partnership is still subject to all regulatory approvals, including from Transport Canada and the CTA.

A partnership with Qatar Airways would give Canadian travellers access to its extensive network via Doha to destinations in the Middle East, Africa, Indian Subcontinent and across Asia, says Eddy Doyle, President & CEO of Canada Jetlines.

“We are pleased to discuss potential opportunities with Qatar Airways, an international airline known for its world-class service and consistently recognized by the industry and consumers as the best airline in the world,” says Doyle.

“Qatar is not only a growing and exciting destination, it is also home to the world’s best airport, Hamad International Airport, which provides seamless connectivity to Qatar Airways’ superior global network.”

Qatar Airways currently flies to more than 150 destinations worldwide via Hamad International Airport.
